The tile heats up because it absorbs and retains the heat from your dog's body. The FrostMat does the opposite: its fiber conducts that heat away and dissipates it without storing it. That's why the tile loses its coolness in seconds and the FrostMat maintains it continuously. It doesn't generate its own cold (it doesn't need electricity for that), but the surface is always several degrees below your dog's temperature. It's the difference between a sponge that absorbs until full, and a fabric that lets water pass through without retaining it.

There's nothing to recharge. As long as your dog is on top of it, the FrostMat continuously cools, it doesn't reach a limit like gel (which needs to be put in the fridge after 15-20 minutes). When your dog gets up, the fiber reactivates itself in a few minutes. The only optional tip: if the heat is very intense, 15 minutes in the fridge before placing it will give it an extra cold boost. But under normal conditions, you don't need to do anything.

Se lava a máquina en ciclo suave, agua fría o tibia. Déjala secar al aire (no a secadora directa). Un detalle importante: no uses suavizante de telas, el suavizante tapa los poros de la fibra y reduce el efecto conductor. Con lavado correcto, el FrostMat mantiene el mismo desempeño lavado tras lavado.

Es de los productos que más agradecen. El FrostMat tiene un acolchado interno que sostiene las coyunturas, algo que ni la loseta ni un tapete de gel delgado pueden ofrecer. Si los primeros días no se acerca, ponla en su lugar favorito donde ya se echa normalmente — no le pidas que aprenda algo nuevo, solo que encuentre frío donde ya va.
